2010 NAB Schools First Conference

NAB Docklands, Melbourne

Over 200 leaders in the education, community and corporate sector turned out for the inaugural NAB Schools First Conference held in Melbourne on Friday, 19 March 2010 around the theme 'Power Through Partnership'.
 
One of the highlights of the day was a lively discussion panel chaired by Master of Ceremonies Jenny Brockie, host of Insight on SBS. Guests on the panel included Adam Smith (CEO, The Foundation for Young Australians), Richard Newnham (CEO, LeftRight Think Tank), Dr Eroia Barone Nugent (Santa Maria College), Professor Geoff Masters (CEO, Australian Council for Educational Research) and Louise Bye (Assistant Director, Aboriginal Education and Training Directorate, DET).
 
Delegates were also treated to the launch of the Schools First 2009 Public Report by Professor Geoff Masters, while Former Premier of Victoria, Steve Bracks, shared his insights into the education sector and what more corporate Australia needs to do to help facilitate change.
