2010 Seed Funding Award Winners Announced
20 September 2010
Congratulations to the 40 schools across Australia who have won a 2010 Schools First Seed Funding Award.
The winning schools from the ACT (2), NSW (14), NT (2), QLD (7), SA (3), TAS (1), VIC (8) and WA (3) have been recognised for their outstanding school-community partnerships and will receive $25,000 towards the continued development of their partnership.
Last year, Schools First awarded 20 Seed Funding awards, however due to the number of applications in this category the awards in 2010 were doubled.
“We are thrilled to announce the 2010 Schools First Seed Funding winners,” said Jodi Cryan, Head of Schools First.
“There is a great cross-section of amazing partnerships from every state and territory in Australia. The Seed Funding category is a fundamental part of our awards program. These partnerships are in the early stages of their projects and have the opportunity to develop their partnerships further so they can hopefully go onto win an Impact award in coming years.”
"Schools First is all about developing and strengthening partnerships that are improving the education of young people.”
Impact Award Winners will be announced in QLD, NT, VIC and TAS on Monday, 4 October and NSW, SA, ACT and WA on Monday, 11 October.
