2010 Schools First Week

The inaugural Schools First Week will run from Monday, 15 March to Friday, 19 March 2010.

A number of exciting activities will take place across Australia to celebrate our 2009 winners, create awareness around the program and officially launch Schools First nationally for 2010.

These include:

• Launch of ACER public report on the 2009 Schools First Awards Program
• Further information about the 33 Partnership Forum dates and venues taking place between April and June 2010  
• Media events in major capital cities featuring a selection of 2009 winning schools and high profile VIP’s

There will be regular online Discussion Forums around the Schools First program and school-community partnerships with guests including educational leaders and 2009 winning schools. View the schedule or visit the Discussion Forum page for further details.

The week will conclude with the inaugural Schools First Conference which is taking place in Melbourne on Friday, 19 March 2010.

A number of keynote speakers and up to 200 key educational stakeholders will come together to discuss school-community partnerships more broadly and how they can play a lead role in addressing current issues facing schools and communities around Australia.
