I'm a student - what's in it for me?
The NAB Schools First Student Award was established to give students a voice around how they believe things should run in their school and community. Young people are enthusiastic about their community and are more than willing to instigate and nurture ideas that will positively impact their peers.
In 2011, our inaugural NAB Schools First Student Award winners enjoyed the following benefits:
- Became further involved in their school community
- Gained increased self-esteem and confidence
- Developed specialised skills
- Strengthened their resumes
- Grew new friendships and working relationships
- Learned to work with members of the broader community
- Received one-to-one support from the NAB Schools First team, and
- Engaged with a mentor to help explore the possibilities within their partnership.

In 2012, the ten (10) best ideas from across Australia will receive an awesome prize pack for themselves and their schools, including:
- $5,000 to help turn their idea into a reality, and
- Support from the NAB Schools First team.
No idea is too big or small. It just needs to be an original idea for a partnership in the local school community.
