Seed Funding Awards
Seed Funding Awards are for schools that are seeking funding to help their partnership develop further. They’ll either be in the process of setting up a partnership or in the early stages of one.
This is an increasingly popular award category, with the number of submitted applications growing each year.
In 2012 there will 65 Seed Funding Awards of $15,000 each.

Seed Funding Awards criteria
To be considered for a Seed Funding Award, a school must demonstrate:
- The partnership is being set up to address an identified need or opportunity that will benefit students.
- A plan is being developed with each partner contributing to the plan.
- A well-organised program will be implemented.
- Students will benefit from the program.
- The partnership will become part of the culture and planning activities of each partner.
The Seed Funding Awards are for those partnerships that are still in their infancy and/or not at the stage where they have evidence of outcomes. Partnerships that are just beginning are still eligible for an award, but it is important that these applications show evidence of the planning that has already been undertaken.
Schools must also include information regarding proposed use of funding to further develop their partnership.
