Impact Awards

2 - Impact Awards 2011Impact Awards are for school-community partnerships that can demonstrate improved student outcomes as a result of their partnership.

In 2012 there will be:

  • 55 x Impact Awards of $30,000 each
  • 8 x State/Territory Awards of a further $30,000 each (receiving a total of $60,000 each)
  • 1 x National Award of a further $140,000 (receiving a total of $200,000)

The National Award has been won each year by a truly exceptional school-community partnership that demonstrates outstanding performance against the award criteria. They have also had a compelling strategy for using the funds.

Schools applying for an Impact Award will need to demonstrate:

  1. The partnership was set up to address an identified need or opportunity that will benefit students.
  2. A plan was developed with each partner contributing to the plan.
  3. A program was successfully implemented.
  4. Students have benefited from the program.
  5. The partnership has become part of the culture and planning activities of each partner.

To be eligible for an Impact Award, your partnership needs to have been going long enough for it to have made a difference. The Impact Awards are about having enough evidence to show:

  • that the partnership is responsible for these outcomes. Schools must also include information regarding proposed use of funding to strengthen their partnership.
